Pizza at Pete’s is always my go-to but last weekend they hosted us on a family date in anticipation of Soso’s surgery & subsequent soft-only diet & Koda ordered the most DELICIOUS Mango Habanero Lollipop Chicken!! The sweet mango flavor with a subtle kick + the crunchy skin, juicy inside was ::chefs kiss:: Thanks to Pete’s at Howe Bout Arden for having us and our wonderful hostess for the great service!

Our boy had an adenoidectomy + ear tube surgery yesterday and to say my anxiety was at an all time high is an understatement. But by the grace of God it went really well and now we’re on the road to recovery which is not at all what I expected (in a good way)! Thank you to all who thought of him, prayed for him and showered him with love…you are appreciated! ❤️

The moment I saw you become a father I thought “this is it. I couldn’t love this man more.” But I can and I do. Over and over again as you continue to grow in the most beautiful way, as a father. You pause, you listen, you learn & you pivot. And you’re willing to do it over & over again. Thanks for being the most beautiful example of a dad doing his part to raise emotionally intelligent, loved, and heard tiny children. WE could never thank you enough. ❤️

And just like that we have a 1st grader & a 5th grader! It’s true, what they say about not blinking or you might miss it. Time is in hyper-lapse these days.

And I’m blessed to be able to be in a season of momming super hard, with sprinkles of work here and there. I’ll forever be grateful that @kodas_kodaks allowed this season for me. Sometimes it feels hard, you know, the fear of hitting pause on building an empire because after all, that’s for them too. But then I remember babies don’t keep. And neither do toddlers, or little kids. And the reality of “they’re only this little once” sets in. So nobody asked but, yes, I would do it all over again to have this moment in time at home with them.

Ok enough with the deep, bring on the swimsuits and the snowcones, ITS FRIGGIN SUMMER BABY!!!
